Bug#363925: xkb-data: XF86AudioRaiseVolume defined twice for Logitech keyboards

2006-04-22 Thread jjluza
Hello

I confirm this bug for logicink keyboard definition too.

Also, there are other errors in /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/inet

For logicink, XF86AudioMedia is defined twice too (it should be "key "),
and "key " should be XF86Go and not XF86Forward.

Typo error too that prevents logiciink from being loaded.
For logiciink keyboard definition there is :
include "inet(logicinc)"
but it should be :
include "inet(logicink)"
The problem is that there is some difference between these two kbd def. (cf
XF86Go and XF86Forward).

I don't open a bug report for each bug since I think there are other bugs, and
I guess you don't want to threat plenty of such bugs.

Regards.

Bug#337839: xserver-xorg: Changelog is not complete

2005-11-06 Thread jjluza
Package: xserver-xorg
Version: 6.8.99.901.dfsg.1-2
Severity: minor
Tags: experimental

I look at the changelog and I see only the changes, since Sid version,
for the last version.
These are changes between 6.8.99.901.dfsg.1-1 and 6.8.99.901.dfsg.1-2.
But I can't find changes between Sid version and 6.8.99.901.dfsg.1-1.

Maybe I made something wrong, so tell me.

Regards,
JJ Luza.

Bug#337833: xlibmesa-gl-dev: error creating symbolic link `usr/lib/libGL.so': No such file or directory

2005-11-06 Thread jjluza
Package: xlibmesa-gl-dev
Version: 6.8.99.901.dfsg.1-2
Severity: normal
Tags: experimental

I can't install this package because of 2 symlinks. I get these errors :

error creating symbolic link `usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so': No such file or directory
error creating symbolic link `usr/lib/libGL.so': No such file or directory

I have removed it from package content, and then I can install the
package. I manually created the symlinks, and it seems to work like
that.

Let me know if I can give you more information.

Regards,
JJ Luza.

Bug#317999: CustomKeycodes unavailable

2005-07-18 Thread jjluza
Ok, finally I found the problem.
In fact, the xkb rules I used before (called logicdo), doesn't exist anymore,
so it was normal that I hadn't multimedia key anymore (it used a basic pc105
rules).
I found that xkb rules called logicink do what logicdo did before. Now I use
logicink, and my keyboard works like before (with multimedia keys).
This bug can be closed, but I think it could be usefull to be noticed about
xkb rules files that go away.

Cordially,
JJ Luza

Bug#317999: xlibs: CustomKeycodes unavailable

2005-07-12 Thread jjluza
Package: xlibs
Version: 6.8.2.dfsg.1-1
Severity: normal

I've just installed Xorg on my system and all work pretty well except
one thing : I haven't CustomKeycodes anymore. I notice there is an X
option, so I tried to enable it with :
Option "CustomKeycodes" "on"
in xorg.conf, but with that, my keyboard goes crazy, and only letter
keys are usable. For example, I can't use "shift" anymore, neither "up"
(when I hit "up" key, it reacts like if I have hit "print" key).

I tried several things like trying to use Option "XkbGeometry", but I
didn't succeed.

I would like to use my "multimedia" keyboard, so if you have an idea
about my problem, I will congratulate you.

Thanks a lot for the big work you have achieved to package Xorg.

Regards,
JJ Luza

Bug#251119: xlibs: No num pad anymore

2004-05-26 Thread jjluza
Package: xlibs
Version: 4.3.0.dfsg.1-2
Severity: grave
Tags: sid
Justification: renders package unusable

I just upgrade X and now I can't use num key of the num pad. Instead of
that, X behaves like numlock is disabled (it uses arrows).
I didn't change anything in the X settings.
I check if num key still work in a tty, and it works, so it's really a
problem with the new package.
I didn't see any error in log files.
I'm not sure if I should report the problem on xlibs package, so if I
made a mistake, excuse me please.

Yes, I've already restarted X several (many) times since the last time I
upgraded it. But there is still this bug. I upgraded several time my kernel
too : now I use 2.6.6 (mainline), but still this bug.
I use a debian sid up-to-date (upgraded a few hours ago).
In fact, this bug is really old, maybe I'm just a bit more obstinate than
other people, I don't know.
Nevertheless maybe something is new : I don't get this error anymore when X
starts like it does before. Now I only get it when I press an unknow key.
Let me know if I can give you more information.
Thanks.

Package: xserver-xfree86
Version: 4.3.0.dfsg.1-1
Severity: normal
Followup-For: Bug #230204

I just install the latest packages, and I still get these error
messages.
Is it the wanted behaviour ? I think it could be usefull that such keys
are managed automatically by xfree, like the old behaviour, instead of
needing to set them manually with setkeycodes.
Please, ask me if you need more information.

Regards,
JJ

2004-03-02 Thread jjluza
Package: xlibs
Version: 4.3.0-3
Severity: normal
Followup-For: Bug #224909

I reported the bug as #230204.
I just see that it is merged with #224909.
Do you still need more infos ?
I still have this bug with kernel 2.6.3-ck1 (and others I tested since I
reported this bug).

Tell me which infos do you need, if you want more.
The error message isn't changed.

Bug#230204: xlibs: Error messages from atkbd.c of kernel 2.6.2

2004-01-29 Thread jjluza
Package: xlibs
Version: 4.3.0-0pre1v5
Severity: normal
Tags: experimental

Hello,

I get an error message when I start X or when I hit some specific keys from
keyboard.
So, because of this, these keys are unusable : they are multimedia keys.
I use a Logitech Cordless MX keyboard : some of the multimedia keys
work, some others not (like itouch key for example).
I use Option "XkbModel" "logicdo" in XF86Config-4.

Here is the error messages :
atkbd.c: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0x7a on
isa0060/serio0).
atkbd.c: This is an XFree86 bug. It shouldn't access hardware directly.
or
atkbd.c: Unknown key pressed (translated set 2, code 0x92 on
isa0060/serio0).
atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e012 ' to make it known.
atkbd.c: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0x92 on
isa0060/serio0).
atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e012 ' to make it known.
Thanks.

Cordially,

JJ
