Bug#657183: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics: ETPS/2 Elantech touchpad, right click not working, two finger scroll not working
Package: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics Version: 1.5.0+git20120101-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer, I have Asus UX21 Zenbook, which comes with Elantech touchpad. This touchpad works perfectly on Windows. On Linux is not merly usable, THE MOST critical thing that is not working is right-click button. Also two finger scrolling is not working, but this is less severe bug than missing right-click. Please contact vendor or developer, and please take appriopriate actions to resolve this critical problem. Bug#420350: xserver-xorg-video-intel: Bug in driver
Package: xserver-xorg-video-intel Version: 2:2.1.1-4 Followup-For: Bug #420350 Bug still exist after half of the year and I think its NOT in the core as debian packaged driver from 2007/03/05 worked just fine with the new core. However I cant get it back as I dont remember which xorg-core didnt complain about older driver and didnt remove it, I managed to run compiz-fusion on them. Current core depends on new intel package which cause black screen. I suggest temporarly fix for this by removing that dependence and allowing 1.7.2-4 i810 driver to be installed with new core. I'll also try to remove I2C from kernel as it might give bogus output. -- Package-specific info: Contents of /var/lib/x11/X.roster: xserver-xorg /etc/X11/X target does not match checksum in /var/lib/x11/X.md5sum. However screen is still black current git does better job. I am attaching log file. No more errors about sil164, ivch and tfp410 submodule and one new error connected with ch7017 submodule. (EE) intel(0): ch7017 not detected, got 25: from DVOI2C_E Slave 234. The real workaround would be to rebuild xserver-xorg-video-i810 against xserver-xorg-dev 1.4. I'll try to do that and place it on people.debian.org soon. Thanks I am looking forward for that. Can You post direct url ? Bug#420350: Xorg.log with debug option turned on
Hi Mateusz, Does xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.1.0-2 (currently in unstable) help? No, the same effect. Is upstream aware of that bug ? -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Bug#420350: Still doesnt work
Hi, Ok what I did was. Removed i810, changed in xorg.conf from i810 to intel. Then apt-get -t experimental install xserver-xorg-video-intel which was 2.0.0-5 Did restart gdm. I got some errors. I also tried X -configure and X -config /root/Xorg.conf.new however I got the same errors as before. Unresolved symbol in xserver-xorg-core 1.2.99.902
Hi, I states on debian's website that users of experimental packages are encouraged to contact the package maintainers directly in case of problems. Currently Iam working on 1.1.1 however when I upgrade to 1.2.99 and mesa 6.5.2-3 I am getting unresolved symbol error in /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libdri.so and X doesnt start. There is a bug in 1.1.1 xserver-xorg-core which cause that beryl doesnt work, it states on their site that this is fixed in xserver-xorg-core 1.2.99which doesnt work for me. For help thanks in advance
