All that I've been able to find out about this option indicates that just the option line is the only change necessary to the XF86Config-4 file. However, when I use the "CCW" value, the server fails to start, and with the "CW" value, the 1024x768 screen seems to be "aliased" to 768x768 with overlap on the sides.
