I'm not very good at debugging DRI stuff, but I'd say the installation
and usage of xlibmesa-{gl,glu,dri}-dbg is indicated.

Any hints, how to debug this with *-dbg stuff installed?

Ben, some weeks ago, you submitted some tweaks to the sunffb by DaveM to 
Branden.

Unfortuneatly, these did not build, and have thus been removed in 4.3.0-6.
Do you have some revised patches handy? maybe they could fix this issue.
