Package: xserver-xfree86
Version: 4.3.0.dfsg.1-1
Severity: normal
Using the new kernel 2.6.5 (build from the debian-kernel-source) and
using the exact same configuration as in 2.4.x, the wacom graphire II
mouse I am using doesn't work. This seems to be an incompatiblity of
xfree86 with the new kernel.
As you can see in the Logfile of X the wacom graphire II is correctly
found and identified:
(==) Wacom Kernel Input device name: Wacom Graphire
(==) Wacom tablet maximum X=10206 maximum Y=7422 X resolution=0 Y resolution=0
suppress=5
X resolution=0 looks suspicious though. With the given XF86Config-4-File
it works with 2.4.x but not with 2.6.x (Mouse curser doesn't move or
click if using the wacom graphire II Mouse.). Only change is in 2.4.x I
have to use /dev/event/0 and in 2.6.5 /dev/event/1.
(btw: Using /dev/event/mice you can at least somehow use the mouse of
the wacom tablet. But the mouse is in absolute mode, which is a pain.
And you don't have all the functions from the pen of the tablet (like
pressure sensitivity))
