Thanks for your reply, perhaps I should have included more detail. I receive the 'Maximum number of clients reached' message after a few days even if I only have a couple of windows open. It's as if the client resources aren't being freed when X clients are killed, so after a few days of use (opening and closing applications) I run out. Is this a known issue? Are we talking about the same thing? It's not as if I have 100 windows open when this happens. If I'm barking up the wrong tree, please ignore. And thanks for your work on Debian.
