Bug#278863: XFree86 and matrox

2004-11-07 Thread Caliminours
thanks for your reply

I join to this mail the file you were asking for.

but my trouble seems to be resolved.

X11 was craching at start. In fact it did'nt start at all.
the problem was due to /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/mga_hal_drv.o file.
this file was not lincked to something. It was deleted and X11 start again.
the solution was found by a friend of mine. I do apologize because I am a
roocky in Linux, so I can't help you a lot.

Thanks for developping Debian Linux. If you need some more informations, i
will try to find answer to your questions.

B Riou

 Thanks for your report.

We need a little more information from you so that we can handle this bug.

 1) Can you please mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4
 file?

 2) Can you tell us if the X server crash happens immediately upon start, or
can you use the X Window System for a little while before the crash
 happens?
