Bug#309226: xnest: crashes when window is shaded or a different virtual desktop is selected
Hello, About 5 to 3 years ago, you participated on a thread about xnest crashing when minimizing or switching desktop. I tested this with both gnome and fluxbox as host environment to run Xnest with current sid and cound not reproduce the issue. I'm using xnest version 2:1.7.7-9 So I'm planning to close this bug, but I would like some feedback first. Can you tell me if the bug is fixed for you ? Bug#309226: xnest: crashes when window is shaded or a different virtual desktop is selected
I also have a workaround: Make the Xnest main window 'sticky' (so it stays there on all desktops) and the problem never happens. Note that shading the window doesnt cause any problems provided it is sticky This is a bit annoying but it works -- Andrew McDonnell B. I don't have an Etch box with a head on it to reproduce yet. Unfortunately I can't really add any more than I put in the original bug report against Sarge. If you've sucessfully managed to run Xnest for a few hours while switching desktops in the course of normal use then I'd be happy for you to close the bug. -p -- Paul Gotch -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe.
