Bug#345729: Fixed in modular?

Is it really fixed ? It seems that it affects only some notebooks, e.g. many IBM Thinkpads. These models were useless for a long time and debian X 6.8.2. If your model was affected and it seems to be fixed now, I will try it. Then I could also confirm that this bug is fixed. Although from David's comments it doesn't sound like modular has been patched yet, I've been using 7.0 for the last few days with no problem.
