Bug#390681: X doesn't start after update of xserver-xorg-core

2007-05-28 Thread Brice Goglin
Hi,

About 6 months ago, you reported a bug to the Debian BTS regarding X not
starting anymore after upgrading xserver-xorg-core. It looks like a
problem that could occur if you didn't have xfonts-base installed, but
it should not have broken during such an upgrade.

Did you reproduce this problem recently? With Xorg/Etch? With latest
xserver-xorg-core in unstable? If not, I will close this bug in the next
weeks.

Thanks,
Brice

Bug#390681: X doesn't start after update of xserver-xorg-core

2006-10-02 Thread Johannes Raspe
Package: xserver-xorg-core
Version: 2:1.1.1-8
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

After update to xserver-xorg-core 2:1.1.1-9, the x-server doesn't start anymore.
Error in /var/log/Xorg.0.log is:

Fatal server error:

After downgrade to 2:1.1.1-8 everything is fine again.
