It should have read "the card you have is Sun Expert3D". The Creator 
and Elite3D are actually supported, Expert3D is not (well, basic 
framebuffer functions do work, but X does not work). I don't think 
there is hope, even though it was mentioned recently on sparclinux 
mailing list, this post provides a summary:

they managed to have both Sun Elite3D and non-Sun Elite 3D? Great.
Given code didn't change, the status probably didn't change since
2006; but a confirmation would be welcome anyway.
