Well, it seems that turning on numlock produces following errors: (EE) Error compiling keymap (server-0) (EE) XKB: Couldn't compile keymap
1st case: Using numlockx => error occurs 2nd case: Setting numlock to on in kcontrol => error occurs 3rd case: Setting numlock to on in kdmrc => error occurs Leaving numlock off => no errors in Xorg.0.log! -- Psssst!
