Bug#587999: switches pixel columns

BTW, this bug is fixed in the upstream release 6.13.2.

| xv: fix non-kms/non-dri Xv column ordering on big endian systems
|
| Column order is wrong on big endian systems, primarly because of a
| bits / bytes mix up with the bpp variable. Fix tested with r100 and
| r300, screen depth 16 and 32 with YV12 and YUY2 (overlay, textured video),
| RGBA and RGBT (overlay).

| Should fix: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=29041

Probably something we want in squeeze.

BTW, I'm currently having a look at what happened between 6.13.1
6.13.2.

The problem with switched pixel columns only shows up in my computer when DRI
 acceleration isn't active.

BTW, this bug is fixed in the upstream release 6.13.2. Enabling the DRI
is still desirable for general performance though.

To enable DRI I need to:

 1. Set ``options radeon modeset=0`` in /etc/modprobe.d/radeon-kms.conf so that
radeonfb doesn't use KMS and udev can create /dev/dri/card0.

 2. Install firmware-linux-nonfree which contains the Radeon firmware somehow
needed by the X server to enable DRI.

xserver-xorg-video-radeon already suggests firmware-linux (which depends on
firmware-linux-nonfree), but the /etc/modprobe.d/radeon-kms.conf file it
installs may need to set ``modeset=0`` instead of ``modeset=1``.

You should be able to get KMS working by disabling radeonfb, but
unfortunately it's not a full replacement yet at least on PPC laptops as
it doesn't support panel backlight control (hopefully fixed in the
mainline kernel soon) or suspend/resume (will probably take longer
still) yet.
