OK, I don't have any other ideas at this point, so please report the bug
upstream at bugs.freedesktop.org against mesa (drivers/dri/i965
component). Attach the backtrace, the full X log and dmesg, and let us
know the bug number for tracking.

Thanks,
Julien

Hi Debian X maintainers! I'm reassigning a bug filled to kwin to this
 package.
If you look at the backtrace in [0] the segfault seems to come from withing
the intel driver. It is unreproducible with other video cards.

You don't seem to have libgl1-mesa-dri-dbg. Please install it, get a

Bug#677291: KWin crashes when gwenview enters full-screen mode

2012-06-13 Thread Aaron
There is no entries in dmesg output right after the crash, the only one
after the boot messages that is related to graphic card is

hda-intel: IRQ timing workaround is activated for card #0. Suggest a
bigger bdl_pos_adj

I've also tried to enable/disable compositing and use XRender instead of
OpenGL as dE . suggested.
It seems that problem occurs only when OpenGL is used AND 'Suspend
desktop effects for fullscreen windows' is checked.

Best regards,
Aaron
