Initial support for that chip was added upstream in 7.0.0, although not
accelerated without glamor, so this is still kinda work in progress.

That said, you probably need to install firmware-linux-nonfree.


Already installed, version 0.36+wheezy.1. Its description mentions 
several versions of Radeon HD 7800, but no Radeon HD 7800M.

There's a bug script which collects info from your system when
submitting X-related bug reports. Why didn't you let it do its job?

That said, you probably need to install firmware-linux-nonfree.
