Package: xterm
Version: 278-4
Severity: wishlist

Sending an escape sequence to xterm can cause it to disable mouse-based
c&p in favour of reporting mouse events as escape sequences. This is a
deliberate feature, the "mouse tracking" mode, but awfully annoying when
one does not specifically want to use it. Applications that turn the
mode on, such as w3m, effectively break normal xterm usage. It would
be nice to have an option that prevents mouse tracking being engaged,
along the lines of the existing allowTitleOps option that can prevent
unwanted changes of window title.
