Various comments suggest that disabling KMS might help and the specs list the screen resolution as 1024x768.
~$ grep nomode /etc/default/grub GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="nomodeset video=1024x768" ~$ update-grub Also upgraded to jessie and now have 3.14 and 3.2.0 kernels available. No improvement. With each kernel, X still gives nothing more that a black screen with a responsive mouse cursor. Reinstalling squeeze is an expedient solution here? Regards, ... Peter E. -- Telephone 1 360 639 0202.
