These packages need to be uploaded to finish this transition:
  app/xbase-clients xserver/xorg-server-X11R7.0-1.0.1
What is the upload policy? Can any committer upload them, or do you
have to give a go?
I also made changes in lib/libX11-X11R7.0-1.0.0 and
proto/xextproto-X11R7.0-7.0.2 recently.

Wonderful to hear on both counts! I'd put it in branches/modular/data,
which is alongside xkb-data-legacy. The xkb-data-legacy is still named
xkb-data after upstream's convention, but I'll rename it to prevent
confusion.

Cool, thanks for doing this!

My problems with testing experimental X.Org are now gone, so I could
test xkeyboard-config 0.8. As shown above, Maintainer field has been
set to XSF. David, where could I import these sources into the SVN
repository?

THis is an important change, XKB files have been moved into
/usr/share/X11/xkb. Until all applications are fixed, the easiest
way to have a working environment is to set a symlink /etc/X11/xkb ->
/usr/share/X11/xkb.
