I did not try Branden's debs at all yet. From the size of the XFree86
executable it looks like the server was built with modules support but
the modules are not included. I'm just building pre2 right know. I'll
know more in a couple of hours.

file for hppa.

Can you modify the source tree on the hppa box you're using and go ahead
and build?  There's no reason to make hppa folks wait until 0pre1v3 for
this if there are no other build-time problems.

I tried add the following line to my sources.list:
deb-src http://people.debian.org/~branden/ sid/

I wanted to apt-get source xfree86 and test 4.2.0-0pre1v2 on hppa.
But I got the following error dur apt-get update:
Failed to fetch http://people.debian.org/~branden/sid/Sources  404 Not Found

It's called Sources.gz. How do I tell apt-get to use .gz?
