Yes, and I think it would make more sense (and would prefer it) if Branden gave all the pre-release .orig files unique names (e.g. "4.1.99.pre-1.4.2.0.orig"), and would switch to (e.g.) "4.2.0.orig" only when he's sure that the orig will no longer change. But I don't build X often enough to have complained publicly before now, and I probably won't complain publicly again, even if he doesn't change.
