Support for lspci -X was added a while back:

xfree86 (4.3.0.dfsg.1-5) unstable; urgency=low
[...]
  * Enhance xserver-xfree86's config script to be able to handle the new
output format of lspci, which reports the PCI domain information as well.
Retain support for the older lspci format, and if the output format isn't
recognized at all, issue a warning and do not set a default answer for the
BusID debconf question. (Closes: #251568)

new lspci support -X for XF86Config style output

2004-08-31 Thread Bill Allombert
Hello X Strike Force,

Pursuing to a previous thread, I reported a wishlist item
against pciutils asking for an option for lspci for XF86Config
style output:

Remco van de Meent has implemented it in 1:2.1.11-13.

Now lspci -X output:

PCI:0:20:0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Rage Mobility P/M

The idea was that dexconf could use it.

Cheers,
