lightdm-gtk-greeter 2.0.9-1 has

  Recommends: [...], polkitd | policykit-1

policykit-1 is now a transitional package. lightdm-gtk-greeter should
not recommend it (even in an OR dependency), otherwise apt or aptitude
cannot propose its removal.

This is even more important now that deborphan has been removed from
Debian.
