[Declude.JunkMail] New ALL_LIST.DAT File?

2004-07-29 Thread Dan Geiser

Scott,
Has the ALL_LIST.DAT been updated
recently?

www.declude.com/release/179/all_list.dat

The reason i ask is that an obvious spam IP
address, 66.248.151.127, is showing up in the Declude headers as "[ARIN
Unlisted]" yet when I look that IP up on DNSStuff it says country United States, http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/cidr.ch?ip=66.248.151.107.
Also ARIN WHOIS appears to have it allocated to an ISP in Las
Vegas.

Could some your tools have one setup of IP
allocation tables different from ALL_LIST.DAT?

Thanks,
Dan Geiser

[Declude.JunkMail] SPF Setup

2004-07-29 Thread Keith Johnson
We virtual host (as well as store/forward) for a lot of domains. It is
a given to add SPF support, I need to setup records for the main IP and
name of our servers. However, what about all the virtuals? Do I only
need to setup SPF records for those domains that we actually
host/control their DNS? We also have internal DNS servers for routing
email (using BIND) between internally NAT'd servers, do I need to
publish SPF records for those as well. Thanks for the clarify.

SPF doesn't know or care whether a domain is virtual or "real". So:
Do I only need to setup SPF records for those domains that we actually

That's up to you. You can publish SPF records for any/all of the domains
that you control the DNS for (and your users can add SPF records themselves
if you do not control the DNS).

We also have internal DNS servers for routing
email (using BIND) between internally NAT'd servers, do I need to

You don't need to publish SPF records for those, because SPF looks at the
return address of the E-mail and compares it to the IP that the E-mail came
from. You can only publish SPF records for domains, not mailservers.

There is a new one, but it isn't on the website yet. I'll make sure that
it gets updated.

[Declude.JunkMail] OT: Deenesee DNS

2004-07-29 Thread Danny K
Anyone running Deenesse DNS software and add a TXT record for SPF? I don't
see an option to change a TXT.

I guess I could change the txt file itself and then restart?

[Declude.JunkMail] Whitelist an IP for only one domain

2004-07-29 Thread Goran Jovanovic
Hi,

I need to whitelist an IP in a per-domain config and for only one domain

I can think of two ways to do it

1) The command WHITELIST IP 127.0.0.1 is only available in global.cfg
and it would whitelist the IP for all domains

2) I think I could do it with an ipfile test again in global.cfg

GOODIP IPFILE c:\imail\declude\domain.com\goodips.txt x -50 0

But this would apply to all domains so not really any different than the
first option.

Have I missed another way or am I stuck with whitelisting the IP at the
global.cfg level and having it apply to all domains?

The reason I have to whitelist the IP is because
X-Note: Sender: <>
This is some sort of automated process

Thanx
