It is also quite possible that this was greylisting 451 errors are
commonly used for greylisting:

A 452 error would imply a disk space issue, however these codes are not
used in a perfectly consistant manner.

But this suggestion of low disk space is pretty good!

Defining the issue would be much easier if someone on the recipient end was
willing to participate. The emails are going through again though we have no
idea exactly why.

[Declude.JunkMail] 451 Requested action aborted

2006-09-05 Thread srv

We are using Smartermail 3.x with Declude 4.x and Message Sniffer running on W2K3 and not
using any outgoing mail filters in our Declude config. We are not using Hijack. Late last week, we started
getting undeliverable emails to a client (only happens with this client –
any emails at their domain) with the following showing up in the returned
email:

Could
not deliver message to the following recipient(s):

Failed
Recipient: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Reason:
Remote host said: 451 Requested action aborted: local error in processing
(message save)

In the SmarterMail log it looks
like this:

09:40:46 [05438] RSP: 220 mg2 SMTP; Fri, 01 Sep 2006
09:41:49 -0500

09:40:46 [05438] CMD: EHLO smmail.ourdomain.com

09:40:46 [05438] RSP: 250 mg2 Hello

09:40:46 [05438] CMD: MAIL FROM:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

09:40:46 [05438] RSP: 250 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>...
Sender ok

09:40:46 [05438] CMD: RCPT TO:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

09:40:46 [05438] RSP: 250 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>...
Recipient ok

09:40:46 [05438] CMD: DATA

09:40:46 [05438] RSP: 451 Requested action aborted: local error in processing (message open)

09:40:46 [05438] CMD: QUIT

09:40:46 [05438] RSP: 221 mg2 closing connection.

They are a city govt agency and
their help desk/IT support is unwilling to help at this point as the problem
“has to be on our end”.

Is the problem something with Smartermail
or Declude?

or on their end?

It seems to be only with their domain and we have not had
any similar complaints from any other clients to any other domains.

thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Re: [Declude.JunkMail] Re: Why is Declude Not Scanning This?

2006-09-05 Thread Darin Cox
I've been seeing these as well on W2K3 with Declude 1.82 (still haven't
upgraded though I have two valid 4.0 licenses). It's worth noting that I
did not see these at all on W2K with the same IMail and Declude versions.

I see about 10 - 20 per day where Declude is broken and where it doesn't
scan the email and puts the Declude headers at the bottom.
