Re: [Declude.JunkMail] Blackholes.us Dead
Hi, Our public RBL doesn't provide this, but our MXRate product does allow you to get results based off the IP's country of origin. Check out http://www.mxrate.com for more information. Re: [Declude.JunkMail] IP Blacklist
A shameless plug, but here goes since we have quite a few Declude users now that we're on the default IP4r test list... Check out MXRate, at http://www.mxrate.com We have a public DNS test that outperforms SBL/Spamcop on a consistent basis, and can also offer our list for subscription with hourly updates. As an added bonus, we don't block entire subnets which gets other blacklists in trouble (like SORBS, for example). We can provide Bind 9 zone files as well. If you use our list and purchase the MXRate server software, you can also customize the threshold for what IP address is returned when queried (127.0.0.2 .3 .4 etc). Also, you can also have IPs tagged by what country they originate from which is useful if you only want to get email from the US for example. Re: [Declude.JunkMail] IP Blacklist
Yep, we renamed SenderDB to MXRate as it is more descriptive of what the program does. RE: [Declude.JunkMail] SENDERDB ?
Hi Markus, Hmm, I'm a bit mystified. I see successful queries from your name servers: 86.146859 ns1.zcom.it - pub.senderdb.net DNS Standard query A 200.173.41.61.pub.senderdb.net 86.151153 pub.senderdb.net - ns1.zcom.it DNS Standard query response A 127.0.0.2 That was from 5:45 PM PST today (just one example). If you try nslookup 2.0.0.127.pub.senderdb.net, how does that work for you? Can anyone else confirm these problems? It seems to me that maybe the local nameserver isn't caching the IP for our server. If you run a dig @207.71.209.183 pub.senderdb.net, how does that work (if you have access to a *nix box). -- Original Message -- From: Markus Gufler [EMAIL PROTECTED] Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: Sun, 5 Sep 2004 22:05:04 +0200 To Markus specifically: I'm monitoring your queries, and they seem to be coming through alright. Are you still having connectivity problems? Are you getting host not found responses, or nothing at all? I'm seeing valid responses coming back through a packet sniffer. For anyone that has problems, please let us know. I'll be monitoring this list for any issues that may arise. Any feedback is welcome! Hi Chris, It looks like I can't reach pub.senderdb.net Nslookup: === server pub.senderdb.net DNS request timed out. timeout was 2 seconds. Re: [Declude.JunkMail] SENDERDB ?
Hi SenderDB Users, I'm the Sys Admin for the SenderDB RBL. We did have an event on 8/31 during the middle of the night (of course). We have now implemented service monitoring so I'll be notified if something happens, and can take care of it. As John mentioned, we are going to be switching to new servers in the next few weeks that should help with both reliability and query response times. To Markus specifically: I'm monitoring your queries, and they seem to be coming through alright. Are you still having connectivity problems? Thanks, Chris Kuske Solid Oak Software Markus Gufler wrote: Have I missed something or why pub.senderdb.net doesn't return any answers for ip4r-queries? From 2004-09-01 on I can't see any results for SENDERDB. On a tipical workday (Monday 2004-08-30) there was the following results, based on 12407 processed messages (Spam: 6335 (51.1%) Legit: 6072 (48.9%)) SENDERBD-BL = SS (correct) 25% = SH (wrong)1% = no result74% Assuming we would give this test a weight of 30% of the hold weight this would change the results in this manner: +0 ham messages hold as false positive +4 messages identified as spam +26 messages has a final result above 200% of the hold weight (so out of our review range) The resting ~3000 SENDERDB-results was for messages already having a final weight above 200% of our hold weight So it would be a usefull test, if it would continue to answer for our queries. Anyone know something about the accesibilty of this DB?
