Most likely, it isn't Declude.exe (or isn't just Declude.exe) causing the high CPU usage. What version of Declude are you running (\IMail\Declude -diag from a command prompt will show you)? How many E-mails do you send/receive each day? If you want to limit the number of Declude.exe processes that can be running simultaneously, you would need to change the IMail registry entry that limits it (see http://support.ipswitch.com/kb/IM-19980302-ES01.htm ). -Scott --- [This E-mail was scanned for viruses by Declude Virus (http://www.declude.com)] --- This E-mail came from the Declude.JunkMail mailing list. RE: [Declude.JunkMail] CPU Usage
Title: Message Gareth, We sometimes see Declude using 100% CPU however, this is normal when someone is sending a lot of mail through the server i.e a large mail shot. It normally doesn't pose a problem, except mail delivery might be slower than normal until the queue is cleared. You can fine tune your system a little by modifying Imail queue timer to a higher value during peak usage and then bring it back to 30 mins. although I'm not sure it'll make a huge difference. The problem is most likely a user pushing through large volumes of email, you may want to check that your mail server isn't acting as an open relay. Use domlist.exe to provide a usage report for starters. Most likely, it isn't Declude.exe (or isn't just Declude.exe) causing the high CPU usage. Ah yeah there's load of processes but I was wrong its more SMTP and iwebmsg.exe By the looks of it its handling lots of mail What version of Declude are you running (\IMail\Declude -diag from a command prompt will show you)? How many E-mails do you send/receive each day? 1.66 from what I can see on a average day 15,000 sent and 20,000 received ;) yes busy server If you want to limit the number of Declude.exe processes that can be running simultaneously, you would need to change the IMail registry entry that limits it (see http://support.ipswitch.com/kb/IM-19980302-ES01.htm ). Dropped it down to 15 for now see if that helps Thanks for your help --- [This E-mail was scanned for viruses by Declude Virus (http://www.declude.com)] --- This E-mail came from the Declude.JunkMail mailing list. What version of Declude are you running (\IMail\Declude -diag from a command prompt will show you)? How many E-mails do you send/receive each day? 1.66 from what I can see on a average day 15,000 sent and 20,000 received ;) yes busy server Scanning that volume shouldn't normally be a problem. My guess is that the E-mail is coming in spurts -- such as a user sending out a few hundred E-mails all at once. -Scott --- [This E-mail was scanned for viruses by Declude Virus (http://www.declude.com)] --- This E-mail came from the Declude.JunkMail mailing list.
