I have added CONSOLE ON to my global.cfg and virus.cfg and am not getting any output to the console screen? Will it automatically start? Do I need to run it manually? I see it running in my task list but no visible output. What am I doing wrong? It will automatically start when the next E-mail comes in, if you have the \IMail\Deccon.exe file in place. Note that it appears on the local console window, which means that you may or may not see it remotely (if you connect from another computer), depending on what software you use. If that is the case, you'll see deccon.exe in the Task Manager to verify that it is running. -Scott --- Declude JunkMail: The advanced anti-spam solution for IMail mailservers since 2000. RE: [Declude.JunkMail] Deccon Error
I downloaded it but still get the error. What next. What version of Declude are you running ("\IMail\Declude -diag" from a command prompt will show you)? It sounds like you may be running an older version -- I believe you won't see that message with recent versions of Declude JunkMail. The one that you are getting is most likely because 2 Declude processes are both trying to do the same thing at about the same time, but the first hasn't finished before the second one tries to do it -- but since only one needs to do it, there is no problem (which is why the error message should be suppressed with the latest version). -Scott --- Declude JunkMail: The advanced anti-spam solution for IMail mailservers since 2000. RE: [Declude.JunkMail] Deccon
I have the held.vbs running every 10 minutes, and it has only be sending notices occasionally about HOLD1. Hijack is configured as such: RELAYTHRESHOLD1 10 20 RELAYTHRESHOLD2 30 150 There are 3 C blocks of addresses allowed and 3 others per the client request. Should I try again running held.vbs every minute to test? It might be worth trying. The only thing that I can see that might potentially cause high CPU usage would be if there is a lot of E-mail that is held (as that is about the only thing that deccon.exe does that is unique to Declude Hijack). -Scott --- Declude JunkMail: The advanced anti-spam solution for IMail mailservers. RE: [Declude.JunkMail] Deccon
I am going to "restart" Hijack and have the log in Debug mode and see what happens. It has been noted that at that time, the CPU was averaging 80% but after stopping Hijack, the CPU settled back down to about 35%. Once I have the log for a bit, I will send it off list. RE: [Declude.JunkMail] Deccon
For about an hour until I disabled Hijack (renamed the cfg file) and closed Deccon.exe. This is on a high volume (180K) server, but I had not noticed it before. I am not sure if it was there before. If you re-start Declude Hijack, does the problem occur again? Is Declude Hijack stopping a lot of E-mail? -Scott --- Declude JunkMail: The advanced anti-spam solution for IMail mailservers. Re: [Declude.JunkMail] Deccon
What would keep Deccon at 10-35% CPU for several minutes? Nothing that I can think of. Is this happening often? -Scott --- Declude JunkMail: The advanced anti-spam solution for IMail mailservers. FYI! When running Declude on Windows Server 2003, it is now possible to end the deccon.exe process through a terminal service (remote desktop) session using task manager.
