I would block 66.234.78.118 in IMAIL'S SMTP control access, I'm guessing it
is just a zombie machine.

If it a reject message you can complain to the tech responsible for the IP.

There has to be a way to stop this crap from coming thru ? Is there
any SPF tests?

Yep, set up SPF and tell it that all mail from your
domain has to come from your servers. Then when this comes in it will fail
SPF and you can use that result in your weighting system.
Darin.

Declude automatically does not send out email notifications to people that the email
was intended for or who sent them ?

Without any configuration ?

What version is that if it is so ?

What with all the ^%$#%@ viruses and junk mail and forged and spoofed
email addresses ... how do I stop the response sent by Declude? Or can I
or should I?

Declude should *not* be sending a response (either to a forging virus, or
to spam).

If you look at the thread DUMBAVFILTER ip4r ?, it covers some ideas on
how to stop the bogus notifications that are being sent out.

Note that if you get any Mydoom notifications from Declude Virus running on
other servers, I would like to know about it -- we are contacting our
customers that are sending out the bogus notifications.

Also ... I tried to find the setup instructions on the web but couldn't
find them ... Scott could you point me in the right direction please ...

You can find the instructions at http://www.declude.com/junkmail/manual.htm .

Check the Declude Virus archives and
manual for information on Forged senders and Forging Viruses.

Also, this is a question better asked on
the Declude Virus list.

Re: [Declude.JunkMail] How do I stop the reply to potential virus senders?

2004-01-29 Thread Glenn \\\\ WCNet
I set my Declude Virus several months ago not to send any notifications for
any viruses. Of course that doesn't stop notifications on forged addresses
sent to my users from other ISPs -- I just explain to them that, no, you
don't have a virus, someone else does and your address was forged on it as
the sender, so you got the notice.
