Has ipswitch stopped selling their mail server as a standalone unit? All I can find on their site is the Suit. Travis --- This E-mail came from the Declude.JunkMail mailing list. Re: [Declude.JunkMail] Imail v8
Hi Travis- Last I knew, if you had a valid service contract, you could upgrade to 8 or buy additional licenses. They were not open to new Imail customers because they were not making enough profit on an ISP-only product. At least that's what they told me when I asked the same question a few months ago. A number of users here have switched to SmarterMail. I tried it out and liked it a lot, but it was missing a few significant features that make it easier for me to stay with Imail 8, at least for now. A new version (3.0) is coming out shortly that should solve some of these issues. -Dave Doherty Skywaves, Inc. - Original Message - From: Travis Sullivan [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Declude.JunkMail@declude.com Sent: Friday, October 28, 2005 12:37 PM Subject: Re: [Declude.JunkMail] Imail v8 Has ipswitch stopped selling their mail server as a standalone unit? Re: [Declude.JunkMail] Imail v8
Didn't Ipswitch tell the list that they would be selling the standalone IMail again later this year? I'm looking forward to SmarterMail 3.0 finally having SMTP AUTH integration capabilities as well, though. RE: [Declude.JunkMail] Imail v8
IIRC, they said it was due out the end of November: Imail 2006. I'm considering this version to replace my 7.15 version. Of course, I'll wait a bit until others run it through it's paces first.
