AW: [Declude.Virus] Declude 4.3.46 Release - Memory usage??

2007-04-18 Thread Hirthe, Alexander
Hello,

How much memory does your decludeproc.exe use?
on the first system: 40 MB real + 40 MB VM
on the second: 1440 MB real + 1600 MB VM (now: 1650/2000)

I stopped and restarted it, 10 minutes later the same size and growing.

The Proc directory was full, now the box is under load and sending out mail.
(Imail Spool viewer: Sorry, there are over 5000 E-mails in the spool directory
-- I cannot continue.)

AW: [Declude.Virus] Declude 4.3.46 Release - Memory usage??

2007-04-18 Thread Hirthe, Alexander
Update, I think something with the update went wrong on this server.

I installed the 4.3.46 Update again and now the memory usage is about 50 MB,
growing to ~ 70 and falling back to 40.

RE: [Declude.Virus] Temp files ClamAV Windows not deleting

2007-04-18 Thread David Barker
This is a ClamAV issue and not Declude. ClamAV is locking the files. I don't
know why this happens but I saw this about 18 months ago, strangly though I
don't think it effects everyone, could be how clam is installed wrt user
rights.

I'm running into the same problem. I ended up with a server out of hard
drive space before I figured out what was going on.

What can you do to let Declude/ClamWin delete them in the first place? As
the administrator I can already delete the folders/files after the fact, but
that doesn't solve the problem. Who needs to have ownership of the temp
directory for Declude/ClamWin to delete these on its own?

Also ClamWin was using very high CPU. Is ClamWin know for high CPU usage?

With the temp files not deleting and the high CPU utilization, I ended up
just removing ClamWin as one of the scanners. When the AVG fix came out it
wasn't really an issue, but I would like to use Clam as a secondary scanner
if possible? Any thoughts?

Thanks

Jared

You need to take ownership of the files as the administrator and then you
can delete them.

Hi;

I am having problem with viruses not being deleted from the temp directory
when using the ClamWin - the following is the config entries:

# CLAM- 1st Scanner

#SCANFILE1 C:\Progra~1\ClamWin\bin\clamscan.exe --verbose
--database=C:\Progra~1\ClamWin\db --tempdir=c:\Temp --no-summary -l
report.txt

#VIRUSCODE1 1

Any idea what I can do to have the virus files deleted from C:\temp?

Thanks

I just upgraded to Clam av 0.90.2-1. It appears that three parameters that I
used per Scott's recommendation no longer work. Anyone else seeing this?

Scott,

I saw that clam was giving an error for max ratio and max space. I'm not
sure that clam understands those parameters anymore. But it does not cause
the scanner to error out.
