[Demexp-dev] Discussion in French on the future of demexp development

2005-12-11 Par sujet David MENTRE
Hello,

For those that speak French, FĂ©lix has started a thread on the future
developments of demexp:
  http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.politics.organizations.demexp.fr/422

I have given my point of view. Feel free to contribute if you want.

As an ultra-short summary: we can do further developements on the
independent client or on the web interface. Both choices have there
advantages but this is up to us to decide.

And I'm sorry for non-French speaking people, this is the kind of issue
you have for a project developed mostly by French people. ;)

Yours,
d.

Re: [Demexp-dev] camlgz, camlrpc, cduce for Ocaml 3.09

Moreover, the application that I use to test cduce, camlrpc and camlgz

 `camlStats' /usr/lib/ocaml/3.09.0/cduce/cduce_lib.a(cduce_lib.o): In

 `camlCustom'

As expected, this is not a demexp issue, but an CDuce/Ocaml one. Serge
Leblanc reported the same problem on the CDuce users list [1]. Alain
Frisch mentionned that a patch was pending in the Ocaml BTS, and Serge
tried but said that it still didn't work.

I've just sent a mail inside this thread to mention that I have the
same prroblem.

Sincerly,

Thomas

I applied the patch to the packages Debian sources of ocaml, Alain uses an CVS image of Ocaml. This can explain why that doesn't work for me. Currently I install on my system the package GODI to recover last sources CVS of ocaml to test the patch in a same environment.
