Well my upgrade to Debian stable has worked, and I have built Denemo from sources using the atril.patch and without installing the libevince-dev package, installing instead libatrilview-dev and libatrildocument-dev (I don't know if this last one was required, I didn't try without). The good(ish) news is that the following of links from the Print View back to the Denemo Display works, so re-positioning things like trill signs can be done via dragging in the Print View. My next experiment (after checking more things with this atril build) is to install from the Debian repository see if the tweaking fails and also see if the Icon appears in the Applications menu - in this respect I can mention that installing the evolution package failed to put an icon in the application menu, which is pretty extraordinary. Then I'll at last be able to test if the inability to tweak objects is due to libevince changes... Richard

I may know more about this shortly as I'm about to upgrade to Debian stable... Richard

At the moment I'm not using Denemo under MacOS. Lib > > Richard > >

In which case this would hinge on the desktop.ini conventions that the Virtual Box software is working to. Richard

I noticed that I have an icon in the application menu (Mate desktop) which launched version 2.5.0 I did a make install on the latest version and it installed denemo at /usr/local/bin/denemo but the icon in the application menu continued to launch 2.5.0 (from where I'm not at all sure (*), I can't see any obvious way of interrogating Mate to find out what that icon is linking to). We did have some work on icon location recently for the flatpak version of Denemo - perhaps someone more familiar with these desktop issues can suggest something. Richard (*) When I try to find out by asking to open a standard template the file chooser opens in a directory called "app" which pretends to be a directory in the root directory, but is not actually present there... some gtk idiocy I suppose. > However (see attached > screenshot) it doesn't display Denemo's icon. > Not a big issue, but it would be nicer to have Denemo's icon there, > if possible. > I'm using Lubuntu 20.04 and the desktop environment is LXQt 0.14.1 > I'm not really familiar with Linux (I'm using it only with Denemo) so > apologies for the possibly trivial question. > Thank you, > Lib
Denemo icon missing in application menu
Hello, I compiled and installed (sudo make install) Denemo, and a Denemo launcher in the application menu was created. However (see attached screenshot) it doesn't display Denemo's icon. Not a big issue, but it would be nicer to have Denemo's icon there, if possible. I'm using Lubuntu 20.04 and the desktop environment is LXQt 0.14.1 I'm not really familiar with Linux (I'm using it only with Denemo) so apologies for the possibly trivial question. Thank you, Lib
