If you send a message to the derby-dev@db.apache.org mailing list, asking for developer access to JIRA, somebody will grant you the appropriate privileges to be able to close the bug in JIRA. And I have one question: do you plan any official release, with the fix of this bug, in the nearest future? This fix is in the 10.2 branch, and will be part of the upcoming 10.2 release.
