Hi design team,

I just realize that

  http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Events/Berlin2012_Conference

has a bit of a white spot wrt. conference Impress template -

  http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Design/Whiteboards/ConferenceTemplates

should have something to start off of, I wonder if one of you had
the free cycles to draft something here quickly?

I changed the page ConferenceTemplates to collect the proposals for 2012
and added a first proposal for discussion.

I'm not really a Impress user so tell me if there is something wrong.

Many thanks, and sorry for not noticing earlier,

Was on my ToDo but Lackoftime ;-).

Generally nice, but I would like to see a white background for better

[libreoffice-design] Cover photo Google+

2012-09-19 Thread Florian Monfort
Hi Everybody,

I'd like to know if it is possible to get our hands on a cover photo for
the main Document Foundation page on Google+.

It should be 940 pixels per 180, what do you guys think ? All we have now
is a photo of grass, so much for style...

How long do you think it's gonna take ?

[libreoffice-design] Language selection menu UX issue

2012-09-19 Thread Antonio Fernández
Hi everyone.

I am developing the menubar integration with Unity and, during the process,
I think I have found an UX issue on Language selection menu.

As language selection menu holds a list of languages to select, I think this
list should be a radio button list (only one option from the list is allowed
to be selected at the same time).

There are some extra buttons (Reset to Default Language and More...)
which could be separated from the list using a separator item.

There is even a inconsistency with other language menu, which in fact is a
radio button list.

I am attaching two images to show what I am talking about.

I was thinking on changing the menu to be displayed more appropriately, but
I want to know why is it done that way and if there is any problem if I
change it.

Hi Antonio,
I think your query is more appropriate for the ux-advise list, so I'm
CC-ing it.

[libreoffice-design] Icon test about to start

2012-09-19 Thread Björn Balazs
Hi all,

long announced and finally (almost) ready...

We (Heiko and I - anyone else is invited) will start the
first test of the standard icons we use in LO. We have
decided to test the first row of icons in a normal (as
we hope) installation of writer.

You can find the preview of the study here:

http://www.userweave.net/survey/a2d515d3e4054685929b9d05e0b3fa7f

Of course data and everything will be open - you just
have to register for free on www.userweave.net and look
out for the LibreOffice project on there.

What we need now from you:

Any kind of feedback for the english version.

Once the english version is fixed, we need translations
into as many languages as possible - we can only provide
German next to English...

Cheers,
Björn
