[libreoffice-design] Badges for Members

2013-05-24 Thread klaus-jürgen weghorn ol

Hi all,
would it be good for TDF Members to have a badge they can display on
their home pages? [1]
And could there be some other badges to display the contributions and so
the meritocraty?
As it is a strategy to give all contributors an appreciation such badges
could be part of it.

I started a whiteboard and a first proposal for this.

After collecting proposals I will start a discussion about the usage of
the badges on projects ml.

Dysfunctional webcrap resembling that "Google Apps" garbage.

Definitely the wrong way to go, especially in terms of functional
concept, but also concerning the GUI.

Sincerely,

Wolfgang

Anyone who considers "outdated" as an argument concerning GUI
ergonomics should have his ten fingers clipped off with a bolt cutter.

Just to cut the original poster some slack I need to clarify that this
isn't actual quote but me exxagerating his comments. The original was
slightly different:

The libreoffice toolbar looks dull and many a times
buttons are hard to find. Customization doesnt bring much change
and separators should be dynamic.

I woulnd’t expect to take your point seriously, because your short
message only consisted of using harsh words to try to diminish that UI
concept, instead of providing a solid rationale ;-)
