Re: [libreoffice-design] some backgrounds for libreoffice

2011-04-08 Thread gael.lori...@laposte.net
Hi,

thanks for your answers, i'll try to add my backgrounds in the wiki's
list in a few days after transforming them into presentation templates
(and not merely static images). Do you have any recommandation about
this point ? I mean, I know the master page stuff but is there any rule
I should stick to ?

When changing color, should I generate another image or is there an
svg-like solution ?
When I edit the master pages of my presentations, I usualy just paste
the background image and make it fit the screen. Does this still work
when there are screen resolution changes between users ?

I don't have the time to participate on the project on a regular basis
right now but maybe I could keep on contributing at my rate.

Cheers,

Gaël

Hi Gaël,

Additionally, please feel free to look at:
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Design/Presentation_Templates which has
the beginning structure of a working page for the Impress Backgrounds. I
started an effort to critique the current templates and propose a structure
to update the default templates to provide as many functional backgrounds as
possible. The work has been delayed but if you are interested in helping
please let us know.

File Types (was: Re: [libreoffice-design] some backgrounds for libreoffice)

2011-04-05 Thread Christoph Noack
Hi Hillar!

Sorry, maybe I don't understand your question ... do you refer to the
wiki, or to the mailing lists?

The wiki tells me:

Preferred file types: png, gif, jpg, jpeg, ogg, ogv, oga, pdf,
odb, odg, odp, ods, odt, ott, oxt, mp3, zip, tar.gz, tgz, svg,
docx, doc, dot, xlsx, xls, xlt, pptx, ppt, mdb, svgz.

Prohibited file types: html, htm, js, jsb, mhtml, mht, xhtml,
xht, php, phtml, php3, php4, php5, phps, shtml, jhtml, pl, py,
cgi, exe, scr, dll, msi, vbs, bat, com, pif, cmd, vxd, cpl.

The mailing lists don't allow attachments in general - they are simply
removed (exception: developer list). There are good reasons to behave
like that, but also some that adds a bit pain on the user's side ...
therefore I proposed a service to deal with that. Have a look, if you
like:
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Website/LibreOffice_Mail_Attachment_Service

Cheers,
Christoph

all backgrounds fit the "General Template" category.

[libreoffice-design] some backgrounds for libreoffice

2011-04-05 Thread gael.lori...@laposte.net
Hello to all of you.

Please find attached some presentation backgrounds I've been making and
using in my presentation. Some are better than others, you might want to
start checking out "LightWave" or "colorUnite" first.

all backgrounds fit the "General Template" category.

Please check if I've licenced properly my work.

I hope my contribution will be usefull to you.

See you,

Gaël
