My proposal is to draw a line and go as a default with:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/File:Constantine_Perspective_Mosaico.svg

Meaning we start doing splashes based on it.

We are late in the process and missed enough deadlines, so we can't
afford delaying more. And I think this particular graphic is good.

Hello !

I don't be rude but where is "the depth" ?
Mosaic seems cut and pasted on a background
On the other hand, the mosaic is better finished .
The surfaces of water is not good .
Please see this :

Sorry about this .

Honestly, I don't like your approach. I think what this design needs is
slightly better shaping of the tiles, colour change towards the
perspective mosaico design we are using now and figuring out its
transition to some background. Just placing the already prepared SVG
against almost random background does not seem to work very well...

Anyway, that's just my opinion, others might disagree, so don't feel
discouraged by it ;-)

[Design-team] Development of DIY Folding Media Sleeve

2009-09-17 Thread Grant Bowman
Greetings Design Team,

I would like to work with a designer to develop a one page, color,
printable 8.5x11 page that can be printed, folded and used to identify
and protect a downloaded and burned CD or DVD copy of Fedora. This
would be useful when pressed media is either unavailable or
inaccessible for any number of reasons. The audience I would like
write for and target is "family informal tech support providers."
Quite a bit of useful printed information can be provided about Linux,
Fedora and support resources on the sleeve along with check boxes or
spaces to write in what version is contained inside the sleeve.

One comparable sample comes from Ubuntu though I think a better
folding method can be used.

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/CaliforniaTeam/Projects/CDSleeves?action=AttachFile&do=get&target=nbussett2.pdf

Larry Cafiero and I think this would be very useful but I am still
struggling to find the time to develop it myself and I didn't want to
wait any longer to see if anyone else is able and willing to help. I
look forward to speaking with someone about this.

KDM splash screen is ready, KDM theme needs some more fine tuning.

+1

There are other Fedora projects/teams totally breaking deadlines and
development freezes so don't worry... Artwork team did great job, thanks! But
if we really want high grade software we should together work on following
deadlines and freezes. It's another story...

Some suggestions:

* Blur the tiles increasingly as they increase in distance, to
  increase the dimensional sense

* Reduce the green coloration in the outermost sets of tiles

I can handle this, Grant. However, providing the text/content will ease
the task ... that way, I concentrate on design. I'll post one or two
mock-up designs tomorrow for comments. Yikes! Where and how do I send
the designs? Are attachments allowed?

We have a size limit on attachments, a better idea is to upload them
somewhere, for example on your fedorapeople.org account, and post a link.
