Wow!

These are amazing! Would be awesome to have them in Goddard. One thing,
though: I think the computer icon we have now fits the wallpaper much better
than the one included in these because it's a darker blue. Especially if you
look at the position the icon is placed at by default on the desktop.

Just my 5 cents... :)

Those are the files... the final image is assembled with GIMP, SVG
version is available only for the trails.

But you can use the XCF files for banners, what is needed is mostly some
good cropping/resize work.

Hi all.

As this years EMEA FUDCon will happen in Zurich we would be very
pleased if you could helps us desinging a Logo/T-Shirt.

As Zurich is surrounded by mountains and a lake it would be great to

Marcus, make sure you file a ticket for the design team here, so that
your request is recorded for anyone who shows up looking to work on a
single task:

https://fedorahosted.org/design-team/newticket

Remeber to use the "Login" link first at the top right, so people

Hmmm... this is I think the first FUDCon of the year, so now it the time
to set a graphic theme for this year's FUDCons, in 2008 we had the
cityscapes
(http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/File:Artwork_T%282d%29Shirt_fudcon-boston-2008-1_design.png)

and in 2009 the tag clouds
(http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/File:Artwork_T%282d%29Shirt_fudcon-boston-2009-1_design.png).

Let me tr to start the process with a simple question: what people liked
better, the white shirts of 2008 or the black ones of 2009? (for the
record, my preference is for black)

Please everyone feel free to submit ideas, I think the constraints we
have to work with are:
- a small number of colors, the number of color will directly affect the
price, 2 colors would be OK, 3 colors would be high and we can use 4
only if our sponsor agree;
- no small details on the design: small details are hard to print
cheaply, the clouds design had *too small* letters and we had problems
with printing.

Other than that, I think not even the sky is the limit for our
imagination, let's play.

Does anyone have a fashion designer t-shirt design that they like? We
should make something that someone would want to wear even if they
didn't know what Fedora was - then they will start a conversation with
the T-shirt wearer - 'where did you get that shirt?' which opens up the
opportunity to sell Fedora :)

I obviously like Hello Kitty t-shirts like the ones on sanrio.com but I
don't think that helps :) These are some top-rated ones on threadless

Blue would be a very nice touch but we may stumble on the price problem
(IIRC, black t-shirt costs more than white and blue will cost even more)
and it may be difficult to find the right shade of blue.

Indeed, I feel awkward to goo to a meeting wearing the FUDCon 2008
T-shirt, it is past its time. Would like to have a design which passes
the test of time

PS: actually I saved one of those thin, transparent, white, "I <3

Can I just chime in here and say... I only have one Fedora shirt, and
it's a size M and somewhat resembles a tent on me, coming to half-way
down my thighs. :)

Could we get some smaller size or female-cut shirts, plase? :D

We try to keep you in mind. Only thing you have to do is to register
for FUDCon EMEA 2010 :)

Awesome, thanks for the quick delivery of links!

Nicu, were you going to try to do a new iteration of the wallpaper
based on the comments on Mo's blog?

It still needs a lot of work, but I made a bit of a start on this. I
think the most tricky thing to adjust was to redo the swirls so they
were clockwise to fit the new loading animated cursor. I also tried a
different texture but it doesn't have quite the same effect - the one
used in the alpha wallpaper is too repetitive a pattern unfortunately. I
think the texturing needs work. Also the glows are totally off. I did
too sloppy a job of it.

That being said, here's a couple variations on the new swirls:

20Themes/F13/Beta/day.png

http://fedorapeople.org/groups/designteam/Resources/Fedora%20Release%
20Themes/F13/Beta/night.png

The new swirl shapes are in here:

http://fedorapeople.org/groups/designteam/Resources/Fedora%20Release%
20Themes/F13/Beta/30Mar2010-skytrails.svg

And the new XCF file is here:

http://fedorapeople.org/groups/designteam/Resources/Fedora%20Release%
20Themes/F13/Beta/skytrails14.xcf

Note the texture I used is the JPG in that directory. It's a photo I
shot.

I added back the pattern from the alpha one here, but less intense and
moderated by the more random photo texture. Maybe it works better?
