These designs look great, Marc! Robyn, Marc - make sure before you get any of these printed out professionally that you convert the fonts to path outlines & convert the colors to CMYK - there's a howto here: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_set_CMYK_color_on_a_design_for_printing ~m ___ design-team mailing list design-team@lists.fedoraproject.org https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/design-team

Hi Nicu! On Thu, 2010-09-16 at 09:01 +0300, Nicu Buculei wrote: > I checked the logo source: why we still use MgOpen for the "fudcon" text? I have no idea, though I did notice that it's mentioned in the ticket for a new template: "The logo itself (the flower and the fudcon wording) should not change, but the rest of the logo should use the new Comfortaa font to meet branding requirements." https://fedorahosted.org/design-team/ticket/154 I actually prefer the more condensed Modata for "fudcon", in part because the bolder type it has provides greater contrast with Comfortaa where that's used. But I would like to see the kerning improved, though. http://marcstewart.fedorapeople.org/tmp/fudcon-tempe-2011-logo-typeface-comparison.png Marc ___ design-team mailing list design-team@lists.fedoraproject.org https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/design-team

[Design-team] Ticket #155: FUDCon:Tempe Wiki/Webpage Banners
In Design Team ticket #155, Robyn Bergeron has asked: "I have had some requests for banners for use in wikis, etc. for FUDCon:Tempe. Would it be possible to get one (or more, maybe a vertically oriented one as well?) made for FUDCon?" I've made a set of banners by taking the logo from here: https://fedorahosted.org/design-team/attachment/ticket/154/fudcon-tempe-2011-logo.svg and then rearranging elements to fit the various banner shapes. I've deliberately kept close to that design without embellishments for the sake of rapid recognisability, though I've used rotation in some variants to allow size increases for extra impact. Since I couldn't find any strict rules for use of the FUDCon logo (only a draft mentioning that "the FUDCon logo is freely licensed and we simply ask people to use them wisely") I wanted to check whether such rearrangements are okay first.
