You can find a lot of resources on the wiki:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Category:Artwork
And in our shared storage area:

Huh?
I think you intended to say "the logo can be used only according to its
usage guidelines":
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Logo/UsageGuidelines

But a lot of graphics can be done for the project without touching the
logo (most of the time we prefer to not use it at all).

Thank you everyone you have made me feel very welcome :)

I have scanned over the wiki pages for your group.

I have also checked out the design team group and the logo policy page which
are both incredibly useful.

I will create some wallpapers and icons for starters, just so you guys know
I also know a fair bit about HTML/XHTML & CSS, PHP and i am currently
learning the art of font creation.

One thing I am not too clear about is the submission of work, I understand
that currently I am not a contributing member and thus cannot submit via the
CLA but I can display my work on the wiki via hot linking. Is this correct?

You may be interested also by the website mockups Mairin did a lot of
work on:

Is the other way around: you cannot contribute until you agree to the
CLA (Contributor License Agreement).

As Nicu says, you cannot contribute until you've signed the CLA. You can
absolutely sign up for a Fedora account right now at

https://admin.fedoraproject.org/accounts

There are different teams within that system. The Fedora design team
requires that you submit one piece of work for critique by the group
from our work item list on https://fedorahosted.org/design-team/report/1

We grant you membership in the team group in the account system upon
successful completion of the task.

Does that make more sense?

I have had a look at the ticket system, I see that there is a job to do
a simple banner for the typographic/font sig, I am working on it now.

Cool! Here's some tips to help you work through the task:

- currently our banners are speced for 200px by 100px. Here's an
example: http://fedoraproject.org/static/images/banners/f11release.png

- they typically have rounded corners

- The font we use is MgOpen Modata. It's available in Fedora with 'yum
install mgopen-fonts -y'. You can also download it here:
http://www.zvr.gr/typo/mgopen/index

- If you need a copy of the logo email l...@fedoraproject.org to obtain
a copy and note why you're using it (you can refer to the ticket)

If I understand correctly, he is working on a wiki banner for the Fonts
SIG - http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Category:Fonts

Those have a different size and layout and possibly the request may be
closed but without an update to the ticket.

But speaking of that, the wiki banners could use a facelift and update
to MgOpen fonts.

This request is for something that can be accepted on
http://fedoraproject.org/ itself to recruit more font packagers

I suppose that now Fedora community has been launched a banner here would be
nice too
http://admin.fedoraproject.org/community/images/banners/main-banner_tour-promo.png

I just want the maximum attractive pointers to the SIG on all Fedora web sites
:p
