[Bug 32401] totem won't start with totem-xine engine
Public bug report changed: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/32401 Comment: I'm having the same problem. When I try to start totem (totem-xine engine), the totem window appears for a split second then disappears, and I get this on the console: GTK Accessibility Module initialized Bonobo accessibility support initialized ** (totem:11392): WARNING **: Trying to connect to an older version of the GNOME screensaver The program 'totem' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)'. (Details: serial 69 error_code 11 request_code 141 minor_code 19) I'm using all the currently updated Dapper packages, which I upgraded to today. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 35052] GStreamer/Totem crashes when seeking in H264 video's
Public bug reported: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/35052 Affects: totem (Ubuntu) Severity: Normal Priority: (none set) Status: Unconfirmed Description: H264 video files do play in Totem, but as soon as you start seeking in the vid with the seek slider, Totem will crash. Example: http://www.own-age.com/vids/mirrors.aspx?id=6212 (the download page for the Get Quaked 3 movie, choose one of the last two download links for the medium quality H264 file I had the problem with). I've also tried out a lot of other files, anime fansubs in H264 mostly. Only file which did not have the problem for me is this file: http://www .own-age.com/vids/mirrors.aspx?id=7359 (choose the mov version). The only difference with the other files I tried is that this video is small in size, and is contained in mov instead of avi or mkv. I only seem to be having these crashes when I start seeking in videos ecoded with H264, XviD en DivX encoded vids work fine, and Totem never crashed when I started seeking in those vids. Note: the original reporter indicated the bug was in package 'gstreamer'; however, that package was not published in Ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 36752] doesn't print properly pdfs in 2 per page or 4 per page mode
Public bug reported: https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/36752 Affects: evince (Ubuntu) Severity: Normal Priority: (none set) Status: Unconfirmed Description: Using evince, the print dialog offers the option to print 2 or 4 document pages per paper page. However, the result is either one page per page, as if nothing had been selected, or misplaced text if I turn the page from vertical layout to horizontal. Using xpp, I can print 4 in 1, but the order of the pages is wrong: instead of 1 3 2 4 or 1 2 3 4 it prints 2 1 4 3 or 3 1 4 2 My printer is a Samsung ML-1710. I had reported this bug in mandriva, and it turned out to be a combination of cups and evince bugs. The cups bug was solved, eventually, but the evince bug wasn't. You can see the bugreport at http://qa.mandriva.com/show_bug.cgi?id=21388. I'm filing this under cupsys too. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
