I have the same problem on my Hypersonic laptop (P4-3.4GHz, ATI Mobility Radeon 9700, 1GB RAM). It occurs under both Dapper Flight 5 and Dapper Flight 6. [Bug 36570] Re: Volume applet: In Dapper, Master does not control Headphones
I think that I follow you now. I only have one soundcard. Using the volume applet terminology, I am talking about one 'device' ("Intel 82801DB-ICH4 (Alsa Mixer)"). When I have the volume applet controlling 'track' 'Master', it does not control the headphones. If, in the preferences, I change it so that it is controlling the same 'device' but 'track' 'Headphone', it changes the volume of the headphones. This is the same behaviour as in Alsa Mixer. Shouldn't the Master control the Headphone track as well? [Bug 37962] folder deletion in nautilus

I then use the up arrow and navigate to one of the previous directories, dir1. Now there are 2 things to notice: 1. the dir path on the nautilus is not adjusting(removing the further dir location such as dir2,3, and 4 from the path) with it except that the current dir is highlighted on the button. 2. This is more serious: While I am at home folder i delete the dir1. (which of course removes everything) but I can still click on the dir1,dir2,dir3, and dir4 (the entire tree is still there on the panel). it gives error messages of course. [Bug 37933] Re: help broken in ubuntu
To clarify (or confuse things a little): The problem arises because the help file is located at: /usr/share/gnome/help/epiphany-browser/C/epiphany.xml With the uri: "ghelp:epiphany", yelp looks under /usr/share/gnome/help/epiphany for the help files (which doesn't exist). Looking up "ghelp:epiphany-browser" will also fail as no file exists with the name epiphany-browser.xml. The bug can be triggered in Yelp by pressing ctrl-L and entering "ghelp:epiphany". It does not affect the table of contents. If the help file was: /usr/share/gnome/help/epiphany/C/epiphany.xml things would be ok. If the help file was: /usr/share/gnome/help/epiphany-browser/C/epiphany-browser.xml things would be ok albeit, some links in other help files might need modified. [Bug 34644] Re: Thunar opens when I open a Place in the Places menu
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 35997 *** The original bug is fixed. Now the case is as follows: If you right-click a dir in nautilus, the default is "Open" 2nd option is "Open in new window". Both are handled by nautilus. Good. Beneath the 1st seperator are the alternative handlers, with as last entry "Open with other application". The 'problem' is that the other entry '''open with "Open folder"''' is a xfce-friendly name, because xfce users don't want to know the name of their file manager. It *is*, however, supposed to list a Thunar entry, which is does. In the Gnome environment, however, this is confusing. It is not clear that this is an *alternative* filemanager. So, strictly speaking, this is not an error/bug, but a usability issue, because the naming of the alternative directory handler is confusing. Closing again. [Bug 32938] Re: Usb keyboard dies when gdm starts
I have had the same problem with my keyboard, however it is not a USB keyboard. Mine is a standard 104 key generic Dell brand keyboard, plugged in to the PS/2 port on my desktop PC. I've noticed this problem in gdm, kdm, and even in the recovery terminal... the only link I managed to find between the behavior was that I've only noticed it happening in kernel 2.6.15-19. I'm using the i686 version, installed from Flight 6 with recent updates. The problem only started after the update to the kernel image. I can confirm the num lock behaviour, it acts as an indicator of sorts to whether or not my keyboard will be locked up or not. If num lock is on when gdm/kdm/recovery console starts... then the keyboard doesn't work, if the num lock light is off... then it is responsive. Being a PS/2 keyboard, sadly I am not able to simply fix the problem by unplugging/replugging it in. The problem seems random, and usually a reboot (or two,three... etc..) will eventually ge the keyboard to work again (at least until the next reboot... sometimes). So far, I havent' had this problem with kernel image 2.6.15-18-i686/i386, only with the -19 versions. -- Usb keyboard dies when gdm starts https://launchpad.net/malone/bugs/32938 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
