[Bug 50733] Re: highlighting text in certain pdf files repeatedly makes it crash
Thanks for reporting this bug. If possible, could you upload a sample PDF (using Add Attachment from the website) so that this bug can be verified? Are there any publicly available PDF's that cause this problem? It may also help if you run this from a terminal window (if you know how) to see if there is any extra information. -- highlighting text in certain pdf files repeatedly makes it crash https://launchpad.net/bugs/50733 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 50360] Manual partitioner reports error without offering solution
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubiquity When you are manually partitioning a HD and have installed four primary partitions, right clicking on the free space causes an error, because ubiquity is trying to install a fifth partition. A warning window comes up telling you that you can only install four partitions. What is going on, I think, is that right clicking and choosing new invokes the partitioner with primary (the default) already chosen. What should happen is that after the third primary partition, Ubuiquity should make extended the default. At any rate, the partitioner in Breezy handled this better: when you used up your primary partitions, it automatically started logical ones. ** Affects: gparted (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- Manual partitioner reports error without offering solution https://launchpad.net/bugs/50360 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 50916] no printer properties such as paper size for auto-configured remote CUPS printers (browsing)
Public bug reported: I have a server and a client, both running Ubuntu 6.06. CUPS on the server is configured to send printer configuration broadcasts for automatic printing queue setup (browsing). There is one printer configured on the server with paper size set to A4. On the client, the printer queue is automatically set up. However, the printer's settings are not retrieved: the controls for paper size, paper type, source, layout, etc. in gnome-cups-manager on the client are empty and disabled; the default paper size in the gnome-print dialog is set to Letter. I wrote a little program to check whether the correct PPD file is retrieved on the client using cupsGetPPD(). The retrieved file is identical to the one on the server, so I guess this is an issue of libgnomecups or gnome-print. ** Affects: libgnomecups (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- no printer properties such as paper size for auto-configured remote CUPS printers (browsing) https://launchpad.net/bugs/50916 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Try using thread apply all bt instead of only bt and attach the output here... also could you upload the file? Or does this happen with all m4a files for you? ** Changed in: gstreamer0.10 (Ubuntu) Status: Rejected = Unconfirmed -- Rhythmbox seg faults after a few moments https://launchpad.net/bugs/45212 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 45212] Re: Rhythmbox seg faults after a few moments
It appears to crash on a different, random file each time. Sometimes it is a mp3, sometimes an m4a. I just tried it four times -- it died on four different files, three mp3s and one m4a. I am not the copyright owner of the music files that I have so I cannot upload them. Sorry. -- Rhythmbox seg faults after a few moments https://launchpad.net/bugs/45212 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 50958] Problem with firefox live bookmarks
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: deskbar-applet I just added as a live bookmark in firefox the following url: http://www.duecuorieunagatta.net/index.php/feed/ and I got a message from deskbar saying that a bug has just been discovered. The dialog says that I should report the bug to the developers, but it doesn't even say _what_ application is signaling the error (I can understand it from the backtrace), apart from any clue about how to report the bug and to whom :) Anyway, here's the traceback: Traceback (most recent call last): File /usr/lib/deskbar-applet/handlers/mozilla.py, line 153, in lambda self.watcher.connect('changed', lambda watcher, f: self._parse_bookmarks()) File /usr/lib/deskbar-applet/handlers/mozilla.py, line 161, in _parse_bookmarks self._bookmarks, parsed_file, self._shortcuts_to_smart_bookmarks_map = MozillaBookmarksParser(self).get_indexer() File /usr/lib/deskbar-applet/handlers/mozilla.py, line 257, in __init__ self.close() File /usr/lib/python2.4/HTMLParser.py, line 112, in close self.goahead(1) File /usr/lib/python2.4/HTMLParser.py, line 150, in goahead k = self.parse_endtag(i) File /usr/lib/python2.4/HTMLParser.py, line 316, in parse_endtag self.handle_endtag(tag.lower()) File /usr/lib/deskbar-applet/handlers/mozilla.py, line 302, in handle_endtag if self.href.startswith(javascript:): AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'startswith' ** Affects: deskbar-applet (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- Problem with firefox live bookmarks https://launchpad.net/bugs/50958 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 50973] Tooltips linger annoying after changing desktops.
Public bug reported: To reproduce: * in workspace 1, view a page in epiphany that shows tooltips when you hover the mouse over links (e.g. launchpad). * hold down the Win modifier key (assuming you have workspace switching shortcuts of Win-1, Win-2, etc). * move the mouse cursor over a link, revealing a tooltip. * (quickly) press the 2 key to complete the Win-2 keyboard shortcut, switching to workspace 2. * the tooltip is still displayed, obscuring whatever it is you're trying to look at on workspace 2, and no amount of mouse wiggling or clicking can remove it. You either need to wait for it to disappear of its own accord, or switch back to the original workspace and move the mouse over something that isn't a link. For some reason, I see this several times a day (probably because I quickly flick through my workspaces looking for a particular window from time to time, and if the mouse cursor happens to be over a link and I'm moving it slightly as I flick past, I trigger this). It's an irritation rather than a major bug, but still irritating. ** Affects: epiphany-browser (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- Tooltips linger annoying after changing desktops. https://launchpad.net/bugs/50973 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
