[Bug 84086] [apport] serpentine crashed with AssertionError in _get_progress()"
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: serpentine Steps taken to receive error on a fresh boot. 1. Boot (obviously) 2. Insert blank disk. 3. When asked, tell Gnome to burn an audio CD. 4. Serpentine loads. Add 192kbps variable-bit-rate audio tracks to the list of tracks to burn. 5. After waiting for Serpentine to import the tracks (12 in this case), click "Write to Disk" button. 5. Disc writing window opens, begins converting tracks at which point Serpentine gave the error. The disk did burn successfully since it's a different program and, oddly, Serpentine did not actually crash. Perhaps, the program that crashed was a subprocess. [Bug 84065] Evolution should give feedback when messages are sent
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution When I send e-mail (especially with the nautilus-sendto plugin, but also in general in evolution) there is no feedback when it is "really" sent, i.e. when transfer is completed. Last week I made a mess at office for this reason - I closed evolution, went offline, I am not sure at all, but I found my message still in outbox and I thought to have sent it. If some visual feedback e.g. a small progressbar in the statusbar, could be shown after clicking on "send" this would help. This feedback should be given in a separate window if the main window does not exist, e.g. after "send to" in nautilus. ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Evolution should give feedback when messages are sent https://launchpad.net/bugs/84065 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Steps to reproduce: 1. select dhcp configuration for eth0 and close the dialog 2. open dialog again, select static configuration, fill the fields and close the dialog /etc/network/interfaces should be missing static keyword (but contains a trailing whitespace in iface line). if static keyword is manually added, gnome-network-preferences is able to parse the file correctly again (otherwise it stays in roaming mode). ** Affects: control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Medium Status: Unconfirmed ** Changed in: control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium -- [Feisty] gnome-network-preferences breaks /etc/network/interfaces https://launchpad.net/bugs/84063 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 33500] Re: Deskbar Applet "Entry in panel" incompatible with Compiz
I am using feisty up to date with latest release of beryl, video card is the one integrated in the new macbook, an Intel. I have this problem: deskbar does not get focus if in "entry in panel" mode, while it works in the other mode. To be precise, I can select with mouse the text that is in the deskbar but no keyboard input is received or at least displayed, nor a charater appear, nor a paste works. As far as I remember, it worked well till few days ago. If I switch with beryl manager to metacity theme, it works perfectly. -- Deskbar Applet "Entry in panel" incompatible with Compiz https://launchpad.net/bugs/33500 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 74670] Re: GNOME Clock has duplicate 0x20's on single-figure dates
Because it would be consistent with itself. In a monospace terminal, the width of a space is equal to the width of a digit, so dates line up in, e.g. "ls". This isn't the case with variable-width fonts and it just looks silly to have inconsistent spacing between, e.g. "Fri··9·Feb,·17:42" and "Sat·10·Feb,·17:42". -- GNOME Clock has duplicate 0x20's on single-figure dates https://launchpad.net/bugs/74670 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
