and there is no such bug on my installation

[Bug 94685] Re: icon size inconsistency

2007-03-27 Thread livingtarget
Here's a screenshot attached.

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: human-icon-theme

In nautilus the create folder icon is larger than the other icons in
it's menu. The Create Folder icon can be found in the File menu and
  the right click menu.

The same may be true for the report bug icon, but it's less noticeable
because they all have different sizes/styles in that menu. It can be
found in most gnome apps in the Help menu.

- I would post a screenshot, but it just so happens the print screen
- command doesn't work if you have a menu open. That's for another bug
- though.

 What happens if you run
 sh -c 'STARTED_FROM_MENU=yes /usr/bin/hp-toolbox'

It pops up the warning message about Python-qt3.

Can you also look up the HP Toolbox manu entry in the menu editor,

The command is just /usr/bin/hp-toolbox.
I attached a screenshot of the menu editor anyway, if that helps.

[Bug 7560] Re: Wastebasket fails with read only directories

2007-03-27 Thread Sam Cater
hmm, this dosn't sound like a 'bug' to me, more like a wishlist.

I think nautilus is behaving fine, the whole point of read-only is that
the files permissions are rigged to not allow you to edit the files /
delete them.

As nautilus's abilities are based upon your user privilages. Nautilus
cant edit the files / delete them either.

Again. I really think this should be wishlist

Re: [Bug 86893] Re: [Feisty] Clicking on HPLIP Toolbox in gnome menu does nothing

2007-03-27 Thread steve.horlsey
Till - I just tried the following:

Used Synaptic to uninstall py-qt3, hplip, hplip-data and hpjis packages.

Installed hpijs-ppds_2.7.2+1.7.3-0ubuntu1_all.deb,
hpijs_2.7.2+1.7.3-0ubuntu1_i386.deb, hplip-data_1.7.3-0ubuntu1_all.deb and
hplip_1.7.3-0ubuntu1_i386.deb from your link above by downloading them and
double-clicking them in synaptic. None of these called in python-qt3, so
when starting hp-toolbox from the command-line, I still get the error
message about midding python-qt3. And I notice that by looking at the
properties of package hplip in Synaptic, it both suggests and recommends
python-qt3 but does not depend on it. Installing python-qt3 of course fixes
the toolbox and it runs fine then.

[Bug 97031] Re: Wrong colors in quicktime-files

OK, ximagesink is really horribly slow.
And it works with totem-xine, so I'm not sure how's fault it really is.
I remeber to have had this problem a long time ago and using OpenGL as output

So I tried gstreamer0.10-gl, but it is horribly broken: Video is displayed in a

[Bug 7560] Re: Wastebasket fails with read only directories

2007-03-27 Thread Philippe Landau
I think nautilus is behaving fine, the whole point of read-only is that the
files permissions are rigged to not allow you to edit the files / delete them.
Well then it shouldn't move them to the trash in the first place.

[Bug 97102] when nautilus have a read error when copying, should show an ignore all button

2007-03-27 Thread anonym
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

When nautilus is copying some files and have a read error, in the error
dialog would be nice if there is a ignore all read errors button.

And would be very very nice if at the end, there is a mini-report that
say all the files that cannot be copied because read errors.

Thanks!

[Bug 86893] Re: [Feisty] Clicking on HPLIP Toolbox in gnome menu does nothing

2007-03-27 Thread Till Kamppeter
Trouilliez vincent, this bug is now fixed, as the HP-Toolbox entry in
the menu does not do nothing any more. With python-qt3 installed the
toolbox shows up and otherwise a message clearly informing the user that
python-qt3 needs to be installed.

That HPLIP does not require python-qt3 is another story. python-qt3
needs another 20 MB on the live CD of Ubuntu, Xubuntu, and Edubuntu.
Therefore it is not on these CDs. The problem before fixing this bug was
that the user did not get informed about that python-qt3 is needed,
instead there was no answer at all to the user's click on the hp-toolbox
menu entry.
