[Bug 103256] Re: [apport] evolution-2.10 crashed with SIGSEGV in g_object_get_data()
yes, printing works better---no segfaults so far :-) but is it only me, or did evolution/gnomeprint lose the ability to print landscape calendar views? it did work in edgy and dapper, but with feisty I don't see the orientation option anymore anywhere in the print dialog... :-/ -- [apport] evolution-2.10 crashed with SIGSEGV in g_object_get_data() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/103256 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Thanks for your bug report. Actually, I notice that toggling the Preferences option for hidden files on/off always requires a re-launch of nautilus to take effect, not necessarily only when enabling hidden files. It is interesting to note that the shortcut ctrl-h updates the listing immediately. This should be the behavior of using Preferences as well, I suppose. [Bug 18780] Re: Browser: tree view rendering problem
Sebastian, I have read the discussion. I think this issue DO matter. It's not that it can be confusing - it just could be made better and more good looking Why not simply don't render the little triangle on the folders that doesn't contain any subfolder ? It's more natural, and the user doesn't need to click the arrow to find out that a folder has no subfolders - just the lack of the triangle would tell it. If the objective is to signal to the user that the folder is empty, one could just write next to it (empty folder) in italics, or place a special open-and-empty folder. [Bug 59400] Re: Screen saver running in sessions that are not in control of monitor
Hm. I believe this is so that when the second user's session ends, the first user, when his X session is made the current one, will be required to log in. I agree that it would be beneficial to prevent the screensaver from actually using up CPU unless it's the currently visible one, but I think the fix for this is likely to be far from trivial. -- Screen saver running in sessions that are not in control of monitor https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/59400 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for gnome-screensaver in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 102508] (auto)login failed after upgrade feistyfawn herd5 to 7.04
You have been subscribed to a public bug: I did a clean install of feistyfawn herd 5 a few days ago, I went to the securety and put the autologin on and it worked fine. I tried to dissable the passwordmanager (keyring) by modifying the gdm file, but it didn't work. Today the updatemanger said there was a update to 7.04, so I did that. During the installation I got the question if I want to keep the modified gdm file, I choose to use the one from the installer. After the installation I did a reboot. Now I get the loginscreen, but because iI had the autologin option on it tries to login and then say authentication failed. The only option is to press ok after I get the same message again. I'm no expert and can't repair it with recoverymode (just don't know how, so I wil do a new install) Hopefully I'm the only one with this problem. ** Affects: gdm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Brian Murray Status: Needs Info -- (auto)login failed after upgrade feistyfawn herd5 to 7.04 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/102508 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
