Please forgive my bad explanation, I'm spanish and I'm in London

This is a trick who another mate explained before than me. The trick is quite
simple. After first error is showed on totem. (internal data flow error), the
window remains opened so you can play the movide again but you will get the
same error.
Instead of doing one click on the play button, you can do 3 clicks in one
second. (play - Pause - Play again) and you will be able to watch the film
with the subtitles.

Sorry about my mistake.

[Bug 112544] Click on next or previous email do not work well

2007-05-05 Thread Lonepsi
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evolution

Hello,
I am using Evolution 2.10.1 under Ubuntu Festy Faon.

When I click on the button suivant or précédent (French user! ) (that is
next or previous ) while reading an email,
I don't get the next or previous email of my current list sorted per day or per
name, whatever else.

It seems that the next or previous email I get is the next or previous
that has been loaded in the database.

For instance, the first email loaded is the welcoming one coming from Evolution
itself when you launched it for the first time.
when I open this email, the previous button is shaded, the next button is
active whatever the kind of sort used.

The same for the last message I got but the previous button is active,
the next button is inactive.

About sorting par date, it don't work because I loaded the database of
Evolution with several counts and repertories coming from outlook. Then,
the order of the loading is not the order of the date of the messages
(huh ? I am not very clear, isn't it ? Sorry for my approximate
English).

[Bug 112575] gedit does not save to a new file if other program changed the file

2007-05-05 Thread jdo
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gedit

If a text file is open in gedit, and that text file has been altered by
another program (e.g. a search and replace program), then gedit can load
the new content, or keep the current content. In both ways some
valueable changes to the text could be thrown away. So I decided to save
the content of the gedit editor to a new file, so I can compare them
with a diff program like kdiff3. But saving in such a situation is not
possible, and no error messages is shown either.

Test:
1. Create a text file with some text, close gedit.
2. Open the text file with gedit, leave it as it is, or make some changes.
3. Open the same text file with another program (mc, mousepad, etc.), and make
some changes in it and save it.
4. Select the gedit window, a yellow bar is shown that something has chanched.
5. Try to save the content of gedit to a new file with different name or the
same name in a other folder, or create in the save as.. box a new folder and
save it there.
6. See if you can find the just saved file. It's nowhere!

kind regards,
jdo

[Bug 112584] Mounting UDF should be preferred over ISO9660

2007-05-05 Thread Trent Lloyd
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-volume-manager

Currently, if a CD is inserted with both UDF and ISO9660 file systems,
the ISO9660 is mounted instead.

This is contrary to /etc/fstab
/dev/scd0 /media/cdrom0 udf,iso9660 user,noauto 0 0

even typing mount /media/cdrom0, I end up with iso9660 mounted, as I
do with the automount.

[Bug 19101] Re: nautilus's clever anti-hax0r detection is really dumb

2007-05-05 Thread Haz
I had the same problems after a recent upgrade from Dapper 6.06LTS to
Edgy 6.10. It particularly affected HTML and XML files which I noticed
first in yelp - it opened these files in gedit. I also had similar
problems with icons like bug 41772. With .tar.gz archives I also got the
message No application suitable for automatic installation is available
for handling this kind of file.

The steps below fixed all these problems for me:-

It did not seem to be necessary to move or rename
~/.local/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache as reported by jefight for
7.04. I did actually do that first, but when I restored it again after
step 3 below, the problems remain fixed.

1. sudo update-mime-database /usr/share/mime

2. sudo dpkg-reconfigure shared-mime-info

3. $ killall gnome-panel
$ killall nautilus

[Bug 41772] Re: MIME misdetection makes file unopenable

2007-05-05 Thread Haz
I had similar, but not identical symptoms after a recent upgrade of Dapper
6.06LTS to Edgy 6.10.
Nautilus would not show me any icon images as an ordinary user, only as root. I
could not open them either. Nor could I see them in the icon browser (eg: via
launcher properties).
I also had similar MIME related problems with HTML, XML, and .tar.gz files as
reported in bug 19101 - the fix I detailed there cured all these problems for
me.

[Bug 112107] Drag drop between Nautilus windows fails on dual-head setup

2007-05-05 Thread Liam Proven
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

I am running a multihead system with 2 17 monitors, positioned left
right.

If I have 2 Nautilus file windows open on 2 different screens, I can't
drag a file from one to the other - or from the desktop on one screen to
a filer window on the other screen. It works correctly so long as both
source and destination are both on the same screen.

Ubuntu 7.04, x86-32, clean install, fully updated
AthlonXP 2800MHz, 1GB RAM, 80G IDE hard disk, 2y 10G drive dedicated to swap
nVidia GeForce FX 5600 AGP with 256MB RAM
nVidia proprietary drivers, installed using the Ubuntu restricted drivers tool

[Bug 112646] Error attaching camera

2007-05-05 Thread Paul Hoch
Public bug reported:

It seems that if I connect my camera it finds it, downloads the

Summary: /usr/share/gnome/gnome-panelrc is the only authoritative
technique to theme the panel base. On Debian based systems, changing

References:

[Bug 112670] Serpentine recognizes files based off of file extension

2007-05-05 Thread Thrift
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: serpentine

Some time ago I removed all file extensions from all of my media. So
now all of my Audio files take the naming format Artist : Song :
Additional Details, which I've found works great for me under most of
the applications in Ubuntu. All of the media is in Ogg Vorbis format.

In serpentine I do hit some bumps with this.

If I find my media files in nautilus and drag and drop them into
Serpentine everything works great.

The bug occurs when I try to add files in Serpentine. If I navigate to
one of my directories I can't see any of my media. It doesn't appear to
matter which filter I select.

This seems inconsistent, and other applications like Rhythmbox handle
this fine.

accept permanently.

Shouldn't this be an option?

[Bug 112692] Feisty: Rhythmbox visualizer plugin does not work with xserver-xorg-video-intel driver

2007-05-05 Thread Robert
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

The visualization plugin appears to work fine with the xserver-xorg-
video-i810 video driver in XUbuntu Feisty. (The Desktop option doesn't
seem to work, but I think that's unrelated.)

When using the xserver-xorg-video-intel driver instead, the
visualization plugin does not work. It will show the bottom menu options
for vizualisation, but show the playlist screen with no graphics, or it
Rhythmbox will just exit. If it doesn't exit and I click on the
Fullscreen option, it exits or crashes.

However, unchecking 'Enable Software Sound Mixing (ESD)' on the Sounds tab of
