[Bug 195095] Re: Get notification about sleep failed even though it seems to have gone well after suspend

2008-02-25 Thread ThomasNovin
Maybe the sleep isn't 100% successful after all. Last night my computer
automatically went to suspend mode because of critical battery. After
suspend was done I shut the lid.

This morning when I plugged it in (still the lid closed) it woke up
immediately and resumed where it was last night (playing a movie). I
again got the notification about sleep failing.

[Bug 140687] Re: nautilus doesn't warn if deleting folder with content

2008-02-25 Thread vivi4427
Frankly stupid- it should just silently delete the files, if that is my
preference. Ok, then the reason suggests that there should a corresponding
option somewhere in the preferences.
Actually this bug is not that stupid. What's stupid is that somebody fixed
this bug, and now it is impossible to delete a non empty folder. As a result in
order to delete a folder that has 500 inner populated folders you have to empty
the 500 damn folders first - file management usability at its best. Why am I
still trying to use linux? Why?

[Bug 195359] [NEW] Italian translation is incomplete

2008-02-25 Thread dierre
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: epiphany-browser

I noticed that, while using the Italian localisation, the dialog Do you
want Epiphany to remember this password? (displayed when you fill in a
web form) still is in English.

I tried looking for the translation on launchpad, but strangely enough
it seems to me that launchpad reports the Italian translation is
complete.

I also had a look at the file ./po/po.it in the source package but I
couldn't find such string. Where can I find it? I'd like to provde a
diff with the translation.

Thanks!

[Bug 118372] [NEW] fontconfig incorrectly selects the actual font of Sans/Serif in zh_CN locale

2008-02-25 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Binary package hint: fontconfig

In the default edgy or feisty installion and zh_CN locale, If I use the
Sans font to display only numbers, it's substituted to 文鼎PL细上海宋Uni
font, which is incorrect. But when I add some letters to after the
number, the font became the correct Bitstream Vera Sans font.

This is sometimes ugly because the default font in ubuntu is Sans, and
should be fixed.

[Bug 195393] [NEW] nautilus crashing opening desktop: glibc detected in munmap_chunk()

2008-02-25 Thread Nigel Cundy
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

I'm running hardy on a Dell Inspiron. I was running xfce for a while,
but have gone back to gnome; since then I have been having this problem.
I don't get any Desktop icons.

When I open nautilus from the command line, it crashes immediately. when
I use gnome-open file://~ it opens OK, but crashes when I try to examine
the Desktop. I'm not getting any apport errors. I attach the backtrace
I get from the command line for both types of crash.

The crucial line seems to be
** (nautilus:19307): WARNING **: Unable to add monitor: Not supported
*** glibc detected *** nautilus: munmap_chunk(): invalid pointer: 0x081dcac4 ***

This happens in both compiz and metacity

[Bug 194540] Re: Gnome-panel eats about 80 percent cpu

2008-02-25 Thread Pedro Villavicencio
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be
reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the
development release - Hardy Heron. It would help us greatly if you could
test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of
Ubuntu. You can find out more about the development release at
http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/ . Thanks again and we appreciate your
help.
