It's on the upstream bug; it has gone ignored for a while though. I
submitted it to the nautilus mailing list as well and once again
received no response at all.

[Bug 411800] Re: gnome panels don't add/delete icons after days

2009-08-11 Thread Chris Coulson
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we can't fix it because your description
didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read "How
to report bugs effectively"
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful
if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures

At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the
problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!

[Bug 411798] Re: gnome-terminal crashed with SIGSEGV in OpenTypeFontFile::sanitize

2009-08-11 Thread Chris Coulson
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or
challenging to deal with as a ".crash" file. Please follow these
instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can
be dealt with by the automatic retracer.

If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable
apport in /etc/default/apport and restart.

If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus
and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report
you wish to submit.
If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using
/usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash-file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash in a
terminal - where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report.

I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will
automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more
efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding.

[Bug 411816] [NEW] gnome-screenshot: Takeing a screenshot of an application on a dual-screen setup shows a black area

2009-08-11 Thread Michael Bienia
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-utils

I've a dual-screen setup with a 17" TFT monitor (1280x1024) and a 24"
TFT monitor (1920x1200). This leaves a small invisible area below the
17" TFT monitor. When taking a screenshot of the whole desktop this
invisible area is set to black. But when taking a screenshot of a
maximized application on the 24" TFT monitor I get the same black area
in the screenshot even though the application is completely visible.

[Bug 204150] [NEW] dh_desktop doesn't look in all necessary folders

2009-08-11 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

dh_desktop just looks for new .desktop files in /usr/share/applications.
But packages which aren't installed through the offical repositorys
should by convention be installed in /usr/local and so also the correct
folder for their .desktop file is /usr/local/share/applications. But
dh_desktop doesn't care about this folder.

That's imo a bug.

[Bug 411792] Re: totem-plugin-viewer crashed with SIGSEGV in g_cclosure_marshal_VOID__VOID()

2009-08-11 Thread Sebastien Bacher
** Description changed:

When trying to watch moonlight content in firefox 3.5.2-nobinonly-
0ubuntu2, totem is started and crashes when the play button is clicked.
The totem version is 2.27.2-0ubuntu2. The crash might have been caused
by gstreamer, as suggested by the default package choice of apport. The
  site I tried was www.rtlgemist.nl.

[Bug 411875] [NEW] Indicator icon needs to not be displayed if the user has no intention of ever using evolution for mail

2009-08-11 Thread Carey Underwood
Public bug reported:

I use gmail. I use gmail's web interface.

I don't use evolution for mail. I will _never_ use evolution for mail.
It's just not my thing.

So why exactly do I now have a envelope icon showing up in my indicator
applet that shows only an empty list when I click on it, which I can't
remove?

Expected result: my panel contains only icons and entries that I have
some measure of interest in.

Actual result: my panel contains irrelevant crap that I can't remove.

** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

** Summary changed:

- Indicator icon needs to not be displayed if I've never used evolution for
mail in my life.

[Bug 329339] Re: russian layout disappears randomly after some time

2009-08-11 Thread uvaio
Hmm.. I think it is but it appears randomly. There is nothing specific I
can say just open OpneOffice and write longer text in secondary
language, meantime check emails, browse web and change keyboard layout
from time to time to type in other windows. Its kinda difficult to say
when exactly it happens.
