Ekiga isn't installed by default. Had to add repos to install Ekiga, one of the pt libraries wasn't in the default ones. :( I hope that will change by the time it is released. [Bug 290935] Re: dual screen all panels end up on one screen at startup
The change has not been targetting to stable because nobody really worked on that, that's not optimal but - the team is way understaffed for the number of bugs and don't manage to read everything so forget about backporting every change, the focus is usually on the next version (if you keep working on stable versions bugs don't get fixed in the current version and you create a situation where you keep working on old code rather than making new versions stable) - the bug require a dual screen for testing which most of team members don't have - the patch seems non trivial for a security update I suggest working on a stable update candidate if somebody is interested, the bug has a good basis but the debdiff uses a ppa versioning and the bug lacks details in the summary about the version used, the issue and how the change adress it, then ubuntu-main-sponsors should be subscribed and the bug nominated for jaunty -- dual screen all panels end up on one screen at startup https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/290935 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 413472] [NEW] evolution - exchange - calendar colours
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution I subscribe to some of my colleagues' calendars on our exchange server. Unfortunately, Evolution doesn't let me change the colour of their calendars: I can edit the calendar properties and select a new colour, but the 'OK' button is greyed-out as soon as I select a different colour - all I can do then is close the dialog box and the colour hasn't changed. So I am stuck with looking at three other users' calendars all in various shades of light pink! Yup - I just noticed, that this problem is not of jaunty, but of karmic (I installed mono-2.4 and seem to have messed up my preferences, so that it updated everything to karmic). I added the new backtrace with libglib2.0-0--2.21.4-0ubuntu1, nautilus is still jaunty installation (nautilus--2.26.2-0ubuntu2) I'll upgrade completely to karmic now and see if the problem still exists. ** Attachment added: GDB-Backtrace with libglib2.0-0-dbgsym http://launchpadlibrarian.net/30302856/gdb-nautilus2.txt -- Nautilus crashes with gvfs-error on connect to server https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/411790 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 73343] Re: Gnome-panel should have a global lock for applets
Today, a friend just called me because his task bar was gone. He was lost and did not know how to get it back. If we had the panel locked by default, users would not be able to remove accidentally things from the gnome panel. If they don't know how to use applets, it should be locked to avoid wrong manipulations. Losing applets like gnome main menu or task bar is an important issue, even if it is a wrong manipulation of the user. We have found an easy way to solve it. There is already a gconf key for that. [Bug 413481] Re: Unable to open Keyboard Shortcuts in Gnome
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal with as a '.crash' file. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash report you wish to submit. If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using /usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash-file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash in a terminal - where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently.
